Happy Blog-Warming
Hey, waaaait a minute didn’t we start a blog just like this about six weeks ago at http://bgrantpaul.wordpress.com/ ???
Well, yes indeed we did. After finding a cozy new home for our web data including this domain nsexplore.ca and enoying the hosted wordpress, I decided to download wordpress 2.7 and a few themes to test out in this domain. I think its safe to say I’m enjoying having my own copy of WordPress so we’ll call this place, blog.nsexplore.ca, our blog home for now.

I’ll probably drop the BGP space hosted on wordpress. I hadn’t fiddled with WordPress in a few years and it was a good place to test it out. I’d also needed some place to host some projects of my own. While I’m a university web manager I can do virtually nothing there. Funny isn’t it, you would think a university would be a great place to incubate innovative projects but as it turns out I can not personally do anything there. So I’ve grabbed some space at canadianwebhosting in Vancouver. You can throw wordpress up in your own space for as little as 5 bucks a month, or multiple domains for 10 bucks a month, looks decent. http://www.canadianwebhosting.com/standard_hosting.asp

Yes, a personal server running your own wordpress is nice, been meaning to do it many times. So will this blog replace the BGP, and/or Yahoo: NSEpxlore
